What is WordPress Admin Dashboard/Panel?

Answer- Where you manage your Posts, your Pages, Plugins, Themes, etc. Simply we can call the back end of WordPress blog. 

How to find WordPress Dashboard?

Answer- Before you find WordPress Dashboard, you must know the difference between WordPress.org and WordPress.com. The reason is, many newbies getting confused with these two platforms. 

WordPress.com– is Premium, also free but very limited.

WordPress.org– is 100% free and self-hosted.

So, always choose WordPress.org for you.

Access WordPress Dashboard

Ok, I hope you read the article carefully and buy your Web Hosting and domain.

Now, you have a login Link (Like-yourdoamin.com/wp-admin), a username name and password. Just paste the login link onto your browser and hit ‘Enter’.

After that, you will be redirected Login Page (Same as below Image).

So, Type your Username Name and Password and Click on Log In. Immediately after clicking on the login, you are redirected to WordPress Dashboard (Check below image).

Note: All image in WordPress Dashboard guide is my own dashboard screenshots. I am using about 20 plugins in my site, for this reason, all images will show some extra functions.

But, don’t worry I will explain about those options that you have on your Dashboard.

Now, we are in our WordPress Dashboard. Basically, I will show you the Left Side Bar in this guide certainly, it the most important part of our Dashboard.

You can do everything from the sidebar of WordPress Dashboard (like-Write Post, create the page, Manage Themes any many more.)

1.Write A Blog Post

The first option of the WordPress Dashboard is ‘Posts’. I think you have already guessed that Why this option is appearing on the top of the Dashboard.

Features– Here you can manage WordPress blog posts (like-write, edit, delete, publish, etc.) simultaneously you can add Categories and Tags.

2.WordPress Media Library

Next, the option is “Media”. Through this function, you can access WordPress Media Library where your all uploaded media files (like photos, videos, etc.) will store.

Features: Media library is allowing you to upload Media files for your WordPress blog. Also, you can change Title of your media files, you can delete and whatever you want. Similarly, you can add folders also. Few of plugins are offering this service (like- link of Media library plus).

3.Create WordPress Blog Page

After that, the third option of the WordPress Admin Panel is ‘Pages’. By using this option you can add pages to WordPress blog such as Homepage, Blog Page, About Me, Contact Us and whatever you want.

Features: Page option is allowing you to create, edit, Publish WordPress blog pages. Also, you can delete your blog pages from here

Note: Some of WordPress beginners are trying to change WordPress Page Template from here and they are facing failure every time. The reason is WordPress Pages only works on Default Theme Setting.

4.Change WordPress Blog Theme

Now, time to change your WordPress blog design because now we are in the ‘Appearance‘ option. By using this option you can change blog themes and widgets.

Features: Appearance option is allowing you to upload, Add, Install, Delete, Customize WordPress themes. The WordPress Theme Store exists here with unlimited free and paid Themes. You can add and install any theme as per your choice additionally you can buy Premium WordPress Themes from 3rd Party websites.

Note: You Can Install 3rd party WordPress themes by using Upload option.

Also, there is an option for manage Widgets in Appearance.

5.Manage Your Subscribers

In the ‘User’ option you are able to manage blog users. Blog users mean Who subscribed your newsletter, your clients, etc.

Features: By using User option you can manage your Subscribers(like- add, delete, change roles, etc.). You can allow peoples to access your WordPress Blog dashboard by changing subscribers user role (for example Seo Manager, Author, Content Manager, etc.) or you can add them manually.

And also you have a option to create your personal profile named ‘Your Profile’.

6.Import Your Comments And Posts

Do you want to import Comments, Posts, even Your Pages from Bologger.com or from other sites? Surprisingly WordPress is allowing you to do it. For this reason, I am always telling that “Your every single hard work will give you sufficient benefit because you are in WordPress.”

Features: By using Tools option you can import any data on WordPress and export any data from WordPress. Also here is an option to Erase your data.

7.Change Your WordPress Blog Title

I want to ask you a question like the above Passage! Are you looking for comment setting or want to change Permalink structure for WordPress pages and posts? Don’t worry, because now we are in under ‘Setting‘ option. Here you can change all the setting that you want.

8.Hide WordPress Admin Panel

Last option is ‘Collapse Menu’. If you want to hide your sidebar, just click on it and for Unhide again click on it. But, why you are doing this hah hah ha ha ha? Don’t worry just kidding, basically, we have nothing to do here.
